Ancient Sri Lanka
Upon arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be met and greeted by a Vesna representative and transferred to your hotel in the Sigiriya (approx. 4 hrs. driving time).
Sigiriya: Sri Lanka’s most dramatic sight the ancient rock fortress located near the town of Dambulla. The name refers to a site of historic and archeological significance.
Evening: Leave for Minneriya National Park Jeep Safari.
Minneriya National Park: is one of Sri Lanka’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries, particularly for its resident Elephant population. The park is also home to 24 species of mammals including two endemic species of monkey – Purple-Faced Leaf Monkey and Toque Macaque160 species of birds, 75 species of butterflies, 09 amphibian species, and 25 species of reptiles.
Overnight stay.
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Pidurangala. (pick up from the hotel at 0900 hrs). Pidurangala Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist temple which is located a few kilometres north of the historical fort Sigiriya.
In the evening proceed to Polonnaruwa the second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms.

Late evening you will be driven back to hotel in Sigiriya.

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy. (pick up from the hotel at 0900 hrs)
En-route visit Dambulla Cave Temple. It is also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Post this visit leave for Kandy visiting Matale Spice garden, Enjoy the Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden, where smell of cinnamons, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and mace overwhelm the senses and the visitors are provided an insight into an age-old industry of spice production, which attracted many a European and Asian merchant to the ports of ancient Sri Lanka. Thereafter proceed to Kandy.
Upon arrival in Kandy, check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Kandy: Home to the “Temple of tooth relic” one of the most sacred places for Buddhism worshipers, Kandy is a second-largest city of Sri Lanka. The temple was declared a world Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988. It is located between multiple mountain ranges that makes it even more panoramic.
After breakfast visit the Temple of the Tooth. (pick up from hotel at 0900 hrs.)
This place is a masterpiece of ancient and traditional Kandyan architecture. Temple, palatial complex, and city are directly associated with the history of the spread of Buddhism.
Thereafter visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Under British rule, the royal park became a botanical garden in 1821 and is the largest of Sri Lanka’s three main botanical gardens.
Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

After breakfast, proceed for a full day city tour of Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya: is situated over 1800m above sea-level is the heart of Sri Lanka’s lush tea country. The mountain slopes and valleys are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. These plantations produce the World’s best cup of Ceylon Black Tea.
After that, visit to a Tea Plantation & Factory.
Here you could enjoy the taste of a pure cup of “Ceylon Tea” and experience the process of how tea is being made.
Later continue drive back to hotel.

After breakfast, leave for Bentota and leisure at beach.

Bentota: a coastal town located in Galle district in Sri Lanka. Situated on the southern bank of Bentota River mouth is a destination for water sports. It also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. Famous for it’s Bentota beach, the turtle hatchery and the Buddhist temple.
After breakfast proceed to Bandaranaike International airport to catch your flight to home.
